The interview process took too long (over 3 weeks) for what seems like a low-level position. It could have been completed faster.

The hiring process was pretty fast. I got contacted by a recruiter who then scheduled the interviews. Things were looking good until the second video interview. I was supposed to talk with the hiring manager and a marketing team member, but without any warning, they canceled. Instead, I ended up interviewing with an HR/recruitment person I'd never met. They didn't even have my resume or know who I was. It was really strange. They asked me stuff I'd already covered, barely paid attention, and even ignored me when people walked into the room, saying 'oh no, this isn't important, I can move to a different room if you want me to' to them. So, my interview was considered 'this'. Maybe they thought they were muted, but I almost logged off right then. I stayed for some reason. Near the end, the really weird part happened. After hardly any eye contact, they suddenly looked up and said, 'We're looking for someone from Amazon or Ford, a big company like that, not a small business.' I was stunned. I get wanting someone from a big company, but the dismissive attitude was too much. For the record, the company I was at had more employees than Electra Meccanica Vehicles did at the time, so I wouldn't call it a small business. The interview then wrapped up as I expected. When I asked about rescheduling the hiring manager interview, the HR person said, 'I'll check with him, but I don't really think it's worth his time.' I actually laughed, said thanks, and logged off. It was the worst interview experience ever. I hope they've improved their process. It's a cool company I would have liked to work for, but that interviewer was terrible.

I had 3 interviews with people in HR. First was a phone call, which was kinda weird. The interviewer seemed disengaged and there were long silences after I answered questions. Then I had an in-person interview, followed by a Microsoft Teams interview. After the interviews, they asked for references. I gave them a few, but they said they weren't getting responses. The main person I talked to seemed annoyed about it. Eventually, they heard back from a reference who gave a bad review, so they didn't hire me. They told me this over the phone in a really awkward and condescending way, explaining exactly why I wasn't chosen. I think they should only share that if asked. It was pretty uncomfortable. Then I got a follow-up email also saying I didn't get the job, which felt redundant since I'd already been told. The email was more formal, probably standard procedure, but I didn't need to be told twice.

The interview process was straightforward. Initially, there were two phone interviews where they asked about my previous experience and relevant skills. Following that, the hiring manager presented a hypothetical situation involving supply chain disruptions and asked how I would respond.
