Recruiter
My interview experience with this company was frustrating and seemed to waste my time. After a good initial recruiter call, I was given a technical test that was way too big for where I was in the hiring process and for the job itself. It asked me to do a lot of actual, hands-on work that they could potentially use, like a real task, but I wasn't going to get paid for it. Even if they had paid me, it would still be too much work for just an interview task. Also, the test didn't really check the things that matter for the job. Instead of using good methods like practice calls, specific situations, or ranking exercises, they used this difficult and old-fashioned test that doesn't show much about how someone would actually do the job. The recruiter was nice, but the process shows they don't have a good way of designing interviews and their internal standards aren't great. This kind of approach will probably scare away good candidates if they want to hire experienced people. My advice to management: Rethink your interview process. Better methods like 'bar-raiser' interviews and short, practical tasks are much better and more respectful than asking candidates to do a lot of free work that doesn't give much information.
- Can you tell me about your background as a recruiter?
- What types of positions have you successfully filled in the past?
- What's prompting your job search at this time?
Graphic Designer
I applied for a Graphic Designer position and was given a task that took me six hours. They confirmed they received it but then went silent for a month with no updates. When they finally responded, they said they weren't hiring for the role anymore because they 'didn't need it.' I asked for feedback on my work, but they ghosted me again. It was a huge waste of my time and energy for a role they weren't serious about filling. I don't recommend eJam.

Video Editor
The process so far has been very good and with a very quick response time, they were always very cordial and answered the questions I might have by email.
- The interview was in English, one of the questions was, what do you like about video editing?
Marketing Project Manager
I applied online and then got a written test that was like an IQ test, took 45 mins, and felt totally unrelated. Then I had a 1-hour online chat with HR, which was already weirdly long for a screening. After that, I had a 1-hour in-person interview with the CMO in Santa Ana, followed by another 1-hour in-person interview with the CEO. I was on time for the CEO interview, but they were running late because of a company meeting that went over. When the CEO finally saw me, it seemed like they expected one person to do two jobs, and the conversation turned into a consulting session about why that was unrealistic and that it should be two separate roles. Right after, on a Saturday, the CEO texted me asking me to come back for another on-site interview the following Monday. I decided to withdraw my application at that point because it seemed like a major red flag for work-life balance and respect for time.
- Tell me why you think you are suitable for this position.
- What is your perspective on why you are a good fit for this role?
- In your opinion, why are you the right candidate for this job?
