So first there was this quick call with the recruiting manager, we talked about the job and the company and what I was looking for. Then I had a meeting with the Director of the iOS team, that was like an hour. After that, there was a technical interview for about 1-1.5 hours. Then they sent me this case study project to do to show what I can do. Once I finished that and sent it in, they flew me to Fort Myers for an in-person interview. The whole thing was pretty fast, took maybe a few weeks max from applying to getting the offer. Everyone was super nice, felt like a good company culture.

I applied through linkedin and the recruiter sent me an email asking when I would be available to chat. Once we connected, we had a conversation over the phone about the company, what I was looking for and a rundown of the position. The conversation went well and I was asked to come in to the office for an in-person interview. I was met at the door by the recruiter who introduced me to the three execs. We talked about what I was doing in my current position and why I'd think I would be a good fit. We all got along pretty well, and the interview was very relaxed. The recruiter called me two days later and offered me a position!

It was an easy process, 3 steps. I made it to the third round, didn't end up getting the position but was encouraged to apply again. I completed a case study that they said was "on point", but I've applied since and haven't even gotten a call or email about any of the other positions. They said they would get back to me by Friday, I waited the whole weekend to get an email Monday late afternoon. I was really optimistic, they sounded very positive, but now I'm completely discouraged. They couldn't provide much feedback besides "we chose to go with another candidate". I was really looking forward to looking at the data, but I guess there will be other options! I've been looking elsewhere.

I got contacted on LinkedIn after moving to Fort Myers and had a laid-back phone chat with a recruiter who gave me the lowdown on the company and role. Since that went well, I then spoke with the iOS Director about my background and the job details. He was really open about the role and what they expected. After that, I was asked to do some spec work to show my design thinking for iOS. I wasn't thrilled about doing spec work, so I asked for another call with the director to talk about it. He was understanding and clarified it was just to check my skills, not a big presentation. I put in a lot of effort on the assignment, even making a prototype, and sent it in. A few days later, the recruiter let me know they liked the work and invited me for an in-person interview at the Fort Myers office with the Director and some Senior Leaders. The office was really cool, and the interview was casual and welcoming. We talked about the products, my work, and the app suite. We also chatted about personal stuff and how important culture and work-life balance are. Afterwards, the recruiter and director and I grabbed food locally. A day or two later, the Director called to say the COO wanted a final chat before deciding. He emphasized how important cultural fit is. I agreed, appreciating their thoroughness. A few days after that, I had a Zoom call with the COO, which was a great discussion about the company, my background, and the culture. He seemed genuine and left a good impression. Then, the iOS director called with a job offer, giving me the weekend to decide. I accepted happily the next week. My thoughts about their careful vetting process were confirmed by the amazing office, culture, benefits, and colleagues.
