Account Executive
The interview process started with a great recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager, who was also great. The negative experience occurred during the third round with the VP of Sales. While I understand that VPs can be direct, this interview was different. The VP kept interrupting my answers and seemed to be trying to catch me in a lie, which made me very uncomfortable. It made me question the company culture if this is how they treat new hires. Since their company had just signed a deal with mine for a solution, the interview felt like he was more focused on whether he got a good or bad deal through me, rather than conducting a proper interview. He seemed overly concerned with probing the market through me, rather than focusing on the interview itself.
- Can you describe the types of deals you have sold?
- Which Egress product do you like the most and why?
- What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?
QA Analyst
Had an initial chat with the recruiter who was really nice and positive, talking about the company and what they offer. The actual interview, though, was the total opposite. Two serious guys who seemed like the company was failing. It was confrontational and too rigid, not really a human chat. Like others mentioned, I was told I'd hear back in a few days, but I was ghosted after emailing the recruiter. It's hard to tell what the job is like, but the interviewers made it seem way too precise compared to other places. The recruiter's initial vibe about a welcoming environment was just a front, so be careful about taking a job here.
- Could you describe your current job responsibilities?
Support Position
It was a three week process. The recruiter reached out to me directly. We initially spoke on the phone about a week after they reached out. Then, they set up another phone call with the hiring manager. That went well enough that I was invited for an in-person interview. The whole process was super slow, though. The recruiter took several business days to respond to simple questions or to provide an update. In the end, they ghosted me. I found out they relisted the job on social media. It's not okay to ghost candidates nowadays; a simple declination email would have been enough.
- How would your college classes be relevant to this role?
Cyber Intelligence Analyst
It was a really nice interview process where they told me about the job details and the location. They also asked some technical questions to see what I knew about Cyber and Coding. It was a pleasant experience, and they described the work and location, and asked a few questions to check my coding and cyber security knowledge. The interviewers seemed really polite and knew their stuff. They were courteous and professional.
- We started with some small talk about your background and your interest in cyberspace, followed by technical questions on math and code.
- Next, we have a fun numerical game to assess your thinking process.
- Finally, some cybersecurity questions about OSINT, phishing, and payload analysis.
