Behavioral Case Presentation

I met an analyst at my university's career fair and got an email for a phone interview the next week. It was a 30 minute phone call with behavioral questions like 'Why Egon Zehnder?' and 'Who are we?'. You should know why you want to work here and what executive search is. Lots of resources online for that. The following week, I got an email for a 1.5 hour in-person interview at the office. First 45 minutes was a behavioral interview, similar to the initial phone screen. Next 45 minutes was with a different analyst who gave me a case problem with a current client and asked how I would approach the search process/industries I'd look into. The very next day, I got a 40 minute phone interview with the Intern Coordinator and got the position. Everyone I spoke with was so friendly and likable. The "recruiters" are actually full-time analysts, so their answers were super helpful. I could really see myself working with them long-term. The process was super swift.

Technical Case Behavioral

The interview process at EZ was pretty thorough and conversation-based, spanning 5 rounds. There were four 1-hour PI rounds and one technical case study. The first round was with the Manager and another team member, followed by a round with the COO. The subsequent two rounds were with stakeholders. The people and management at EZ were great to talk to and very insightful. I didn't accept the offer because the team was small with a flat hierarchy, which didn't align with my goals. However, the role seemed very exciting and I'd recommend it for someone looking for an IC role.

I applied through my university's job portal and heard back about a phone screening about two weeks later. The screening was pretty straightforward, covering my educational background, previous experiences, and a quick review of my resume. They also asked about my interest in the role and Egon Zehnder.
