First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Egmont.
IT Business Partner
The first interview was with the hiring manager, lasting about an hour. We spent the first 30 minutes discussing Egmont and the organization. The remaining time was focused on my experience, questions about me, and my questions about the company and role. After that, I was asked to complete a personality test and a cognitive test. The second interview included feedback on these tests and a 'grandfather interview' with the CIO.
- Would you be interested in a role similar to the one you came from?
- What do you consider a good day at work?
- What aspects of your job make you excited to come to work?
Marketing Executive
There were two in-person interviews. The first was with my direct manager, where we went over my application. The second involved a presentation task. The interview vibe was chill and friendly. The presentation task was a bit much but manageable.
- What are your friends' descriptions of you?
- What is your 5-year plan?
Programme Intern
The interview lasted 40 minutes, and required coming up with analysis on the spot (along with follow-up questions). There were two interviewers. Questions were asked in both French and English. Do not expect an interview that merely reviews your CV and asks you about your prior knowledge about the Egmont Institute.
- In your opinion, what is the impact of Brexit on the European economy?
- What measures could the EU take to enhance the accountability of the European Commission?
Sales Manager
I had a really nice interview with an HR person and two marketing people. They said I'd hear back in 2 weeks, but I still haven't, which is super unprofessional and says a lot about the company.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
