I want to share my interview experience. It was the worst experience of my career. First, I had a telephonic round that lasted about 45-50 minutes and was a good discussion. I didn't hear back, so I contacted HR. HR said the feedback wasn't positive, and I moved on. Suddenly, HR called back saying there was a mix-up and my telephonic feedback was positive, and they wanted to meet me in person. This felt irresponsible. Anyway, I went for the in-person interview on Sep 27, 2019, reaching campus at 8:45 AM. I wasted my whole day, including lunch time, waiting. Only two technical rounds happened. The HR/interview panel was unprofessional; they didn't offer or ask about lunch, nor did they tell me to go grab some. I waited from 8:45 AM to 2:30 PM without eating or drinking anything. By then, I had completed 3 technical rounds (1 telephonic, 2 in-person). On Oct 3, 2019, at 9:00 AM, my manager interview was scheduled. I arrived 15 minutes early. After waiting 1.30 hours, a technical person came instead of the manager and started another technical round. It was supposed to be a managerial round but turned technical. After the 4th technical round, there was no feedback by 12 PM. I left the campus. Later, HR confirmed I would have a managerial and a director round on Oct 9, 2019, at 3:00 PM. I reached campus again. After waiting 1 hour, a technical person came instead of the manager and asked if it was my second interview. When I said fifth, they were stunned. I lost hope and asked to meet the manager. The manager came, and I explained everything. Instead of acknowledging the bad interview management, he made excuses like executive visits and that my last round wasn't great, so they added another technical round. It was unprofessional. Finally, I was supposed to meet HR (Deepak J), but he didn't even try to have a formal interaction. All in all, there's a lot of communication gap, disarrangement, and lack of collaboration.

I submitted my application online via the company's career website. A recruiter got in touch the next day for a brief 30-minute phone chat. A few days later, I got scheduled for an in-person meeting the following week. This was a one-on-one with the department manager. The interview was pretty laid-back; we chatted about my past work, how I got into this field, and what I like about it. It was a good back-and-forth. I learned about the potential products, what would be expected of me, and a lot about the company's business. Within two days after the interview, I got a verbal go-ahead for an offer. Because of holidays and people likely being off, it took another week to get the formal offer in writing. Overall, it was a pretty fast and professional process. Everyone I interacted with, by phone or in person, was really nice, happy to share info, and answer questions. They responded really fast to all communications. It was likely the smoothest hiring process I've experienced in 15 years.

So a recruiter hit me up first. We set up this 30 min call, and then about a week later, I had another 30 min technical phone call. They then let me know I was moving on to the final onsite round. After that, they got back to me and said that before I could go onsite, they wanted me to do another 30 min phone call with the sr engineer manager. Throughout all this, I got ghosted quite a bit and always had to send follow up emails to check on the status. They were really slow to respond.
