So, like, I sent my application and resume to this bank, and honestly, I was pretty disappointed. They actually require a credit check *before* they'll even talk to you or look at your resume. It's weird because your credit history doesn't really say anything about how well you can do the job, you know? But not only do they use credit to weed out potential hires, but their pay is also way below what's standard in the industry. I already knew I wouldn't take the job if they offered me an interview because of their low pay. There's no point in working for a for-profit bank with good credit for such low pay. Honestly, I'd recommend looking at the bigger banks like Chase, BofA, BBVA, WF, PNC, and the like. They pay better, have better benefits, and don't use your credit score as a deciding factor.

I got a call from a recruiter about the job. I had already applied online, and they called me back a few days later to come in for an interview. First, I met with HR. They asked me more job fit questions and reviewed my resume. Then, I took some tests in their testing area, including a personality test and an Excel knowledge test. This whole process with HR and the tests took a few hours. If you pass those, you then meet with the hiring manager. They asked more job fit and resume questions. It was pretty straightforward.

It was a typical interview. They asked about my job history, why I want this job, my goals, and my experience with money and customer service. The first interview was with HR over video chat. The second interview was in person at the branch with the assistant manager and bank manager.

It started with HR, then I met the Branch Manager. The interview was nice, direct, and detailed. They wanted to know about all my past responsibilities and my leadership approach. I got plenty of chances to ask questions and get a good feel for the company culture, what they expect, and the job itself.
