Account Manager
This was a pretty long interview process, it took about 6 weeks. First, a recruiter will call you and talk about your resume and ask some general questions. If you get through that, you'll have a call with one of the team managers. They'll also review your resume and ask you some basic questions to gauge your personality over the phone. If you pass that, you'll come in for a 4-hour interview where you'll be questioned by different team members. After that, you'll need to fill out a lot of forms and they'll do a background check. If you're still being considered after all that, the original recruiter will call you to let you know if you got the job.
- Describe how you would manage a challenging scenario presented to you.
Account Manager
I found the job on LinkedIn and applied online. About two weeks later, I got an email for a phone call with the recruiter, who was really great! After that, I had an online assessment that took about an hour. Then, there was an onsite interview that lasted for 3 hours, where I met with 6 different people. The first interview was with two people who mainly wanted me to ask them questions to get a sense of me and see if I would be a good fit. Another part was like a role-play exercise where I had to respond to two 'clients' emails. They gave me a laptop and I typed my responses in a Word doc. The rest of the interviews focused on situational questions, like 'tell me about a time...' and reviewing my resume.
- Tell me about how you would manage sales teams.
- How would you approach dealing with customers?
- Can you share an example of a situation where you had to manage sales teams?
Account Manager
The hiring process took a bit longer than expected because the initial phone interview was just after they filled the last opening. But, the recruiter was really nice and let me know they'd be hiring again soon and she'd reach out. A month later, she did! We scheduled a Skype interview and then an in-person one, and I got the offer a few days after that. It was a really good experience overall; everyone was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The final in-person interview was a bit daunting with about six people interviewing me, including directors, managers, and future colleagues, but they were all incredibly nice.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you were unable to meet a deadline or expectation?
