I got an email to schedule a phone call which turned out to be a technical interview. There were no questions about personality or fit. I interviewed with the west coast hiring manager who is an engineer. She warned me at the start not to get mad like other people have. I have experience with technical interviews before. During the interview, I received consistent negative feedback and was told I was performing poorly. This was unprofessional because I was doing my best and she was not being kind. She stated I had one last chance to prove myself with the final question, and at that point, I knew I didn't want to work in such a competitive environment. She mentioned wanting only elite people and not 'the rest of us'. I would never want to work for her. The interview made me feel very disrespected due to the discouraging comments. Good luck to everyone else; the company is probably fine, but be cautious of her. It was the worst interview I've had, and her rigidness and bad attitude will likely cause the company to lose good people.

I had two interviews. The first was a 30 min Teams call with HR, who was surprisingly knowledgeable and friendly. It was mostly questions about my background and fit. The second was a 45 min Teams call with a staff member, not the hiring manager. We talked about my background, fit, why I was leaving my current job, and my weaknesses. They mentioned a homework assignment and panel interview for the next stage. No salary or benefits were discussed. The downside was it took over 3 weeks to hear back that I didn't get the job, and they ghosted me for a while.

So I applied online and after about 2 weeks, I got an invite for the first step, which was a 45-minute chat with HR. That was super chill, more like a casual chat than anything. Then came the second step, another 45-minute call, this time with the Director or maybe the team manager. They dug into my resume a bit and threw in some technical questions. After that, there was supposed to be a panel call, but I got an automated rejection email before that happened. Oh well.

I was contacted for a video interview with two team members. It was a straightforward discussion about my background, why I was interested in the role, and some questions about how I'd approach certain tasks.
