First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edge.
UX Designer
The team was great and the technical interview was pretty simple and easy. However, the instructions for the take-home assignment weren't super clear before the final panel interview. Email communication could be better and isn't always timely, so make sure to send a few emails to get a response.
- For a take-home assignment, I was asked to come up with solutions to a problem the team is currently facing, and create a presentation explaining my approach, including mockups and prototypes.
Account Executive
Had a phone screen with the recruiter, then a call with the head of sales. After that, I did a presentation for 5 senior level/C-Suite employees. I felt like they were looking for free ideas and didn't appreciate any criticism of what they could have done better up to that point (even though that was one of the questions, so...). After that, I was strung along with little effort from the recruiter, and then GHOSTED. From reading the reviews on here now, I think it is for the best.
- Could you present which industries to target?
- In what areas could the company have improved to date?
- What is the career path at EyeRate?
Customer Success Associate
It was a quick, smooth, and really supportive interview process! This company is serious about hiring motivated people who are ready to work hard. The whole thing wrapped up in under two weeks. First up was a short phone call with basic questions about your background and what you're looking for. Next, a 30-minute video chat with the head of the department where they dug into how your experience fits this job. It was fast-paced and super organized. The final stage involved giving a mini-slide presentation.
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how lucky do you feel?
- What makes you the better choice for us compared to candidates with more experience?
Prospective Candidate
My interview process, which was supposed to happen, didn't because the recruiter didn't communicate well. We had a planned call time, but I didn't hear from him until days later. I tried reaching out via LinkedIn and email with no luck. When he finally replied days later, we rescheduled because I'd heard good things about the company and wanted to try again. But again, when it was time for his call... nothing. No contact that day. I messaged and emailed him again, and only heard back a few days later. He apologized and offered a third meeting, but honestly, this kind of behavior and lack of communication is really disrespectful and unprofessional. If this is how they recruit, I can't imagine how they treat employees. On a good note, the recruiter was upfront about salary, both base and OTE.
