First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EDG.
Optimization Engineer
It was pretty straightforward. They started by asking about my background, school, and work experience. Then we discussed the job duties, salary, and benefits. After that, they asked some technical questions, and then I got to ask any questions I had.
- How did you find out about us?
Structural Engineer
I talked with two people from the company. It felt pretty laid back and like a normal chat. They didn't really hit me with hard technical stuff to see what I knew. Mostly they asked about my past experiences, but a few questions did touch on my knowledge of computer programs.
- Could you tell me about your education?
Civil CAD Designer
The interview started with a tour of the facility and introductions to about six employees. Then, I met with the potential manager and the company principal (who is an engineer). The interview lasted over two hours. We discussed the expectations of the position and reviewed my experience and skills. We talked about past and current projects, client issues, and their plans for business expansion. The conversation shifted towards how advanced software could be utilized to its full potential for increased efficiency in civil design work.
- How do you balance using advanced software features with simply completing the work efficiently?
Sales Representative
The interview was easy, focusing on your personality type and how you'd adapt to work and life challenges. Writing a thank you letter is appreciated, and following up shows your effort in getting the job.
- What makes you stand out from other applicants?
