You'll have about 4-5 interviews in this order: First, a call with HR/Manager. Then, an interview with the N+2's assistant. Next, an interview with the N+2. After that, another interview with HR/Future Manager. Finally, a test followed by a personality interview. The exact number of interviews might change depending on how much experience you have. Basically, the interviews will focus a lot on your background, your motivation to join EDF's culture, and your R&D spirit.

The recruitment process was run like a campaign. It started with a 15-20 minute phone call with a recruiting firm. Then, there was a 1-hour face-to-face interview at the recruiting firm's office. Before the interview, I had to complete a personality test, and then a IQ-like test on-site. Finally, I had an interview at an EDF facility. I was called in at the same time as several other candidates, all applying for R&D positions. We got a brief presentation of EDF R&D, followed by two 45-minute interviews. In each of these interviews, I spoke with two EDF employees, one operational manager and one HR representative. At this final stage of recruitment, three candidates remained for the position. Afterwards, the selected candidate would get to visit their future workplace and meet their future colleagues.
