Behavioral Technical Case

After submitting my CV and cover letter, I was sent an online situational strengths assessment to complete. This was followed by a brief strengths-based phone interview, and then an assessment centre. The assessment centre included typical competency, numerical, and behavioural questions. There was quite a long wait between finishing the online assessment and getting the phone interview.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Could you explain your interest in EDF Energy and this specific role?
  • What personal attributes make you a good fit for this position?

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved psychometric tests and a written assessment, followed by a phone call. Unfortunately, I did not get past the phone call stage. The focus was on situational questions and how well I could apply the STAR technique. The written part consisted of psychometric questions where all answers were correct, and the task was to choose the most appropriate ones.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
  • Describe a situation and how you handled it using the STAR method.
  • How good are you at using the STAR technique for situational questions?
