EDF Renewables Interview Questions

The interview process took about 2 weeks. It started with a call from HR, then there was a technical interview, followed by a cultural interview, and then a final HR interview. The whole process was pretty straightforward, and HR kept me updated after each stage.

So, for the Ingénieur Stagiaire role at EDF Renouvelables, it kicks off with you sending in your application online, you know, resume and cover letter. Then, maybe some online tests could pop up, like logic or personality stuff, or even basic tech skills to see if you fit. After that, you'll likely chat with HR or the hiring manager, probably over the phone or video. They'll ask about your studies, why you want this internship, and what you know about EDF and renewables, plus your skills. If that goes well, you'll have a second, more in-depth interview with the manager and maybe their boss. This one digs into your tech skills for the job, your past projects, and how you'd work with the team. They might throw in some 'what would you do' type questions too, and check your knowledge about renewable energy. Finally, if they like you, they'll make you an offer, and you can sort out the details like pay and start date.

The interview process felt really organized and professional. It started with a clear job description and then a screening call to chat about my background and why I'm interested. I liked the technical assessment; it felt like a good reflection of what the job actually involves. The interviews with the team and the hiring manager were good, focusing on both skills and if I'd fit in with the team. They communicated well and on time, and it felt like they respected my time. Overall, it was a fair and easy process that left a good feeling.

So I did 3 interviews and a graded task. The interviews were about 1-2 weeks apart. Lots of people from the team asked me questions, and I also had one-on-one sessions with management. They gave me an offer, and I verbally accepted and signed it. Then they called me back saying they were 'restructuring.' This felt really unprofessional and disorganized - they offered me a job and set a start date, then took it back. It was super disappointing, poorly communicated, and a total waste of time since I gave references, interviewed multiple times, and even accepted the offer, only for it to be revoked due to budget stuff. Be careful with non-exempt roles here, and maybe don't tell your current employer about a new offer until it's absolutely final, even if you've signed it.
