First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eden Prairie Public Schools.
Maths Teacher
The interview process was quick and the interviewer was on point with the basics of maths. The professors were well experienced. It was a 3 round process; first was an aptitude process followed by a PI round. I didn't qualify the PI round so I don't know the rest, but overall the experience was good.
- How would you handle a student's question that you don't know the answer to immediately?
Administrative Assistant
I got an email about the interview, but that was the only contact I had. When I got there, I found out it was a group interview. They had two positions open, which were really different. A lot of the questions were about the job I wasn't interested in.
- Tell me about your experience with community event planning.
Teacher
First, I had to do a video interview with 20 recorded questions. I had 90 seconds to prepare and 45 seconds to answer each one. Then, I had a Google Meet interview with about five teachers from the language department. It was a 30-minute interview, and I answered two questions in Spanish.
- In what ways do you foster a sense of belonging among students?
- Can you explain how you maintain rigor and accountability in your classroom?
- Could you share an example of a summative assessment that deeply resonated with students?
Social Studies Teacher
It started with a phone chat where they mostly asked yes/no questions, then wanted more details. If they liked your answers, you'd get invited back for a panel interview.
- What is your plan if you see a student crying in your classroom?
