First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edaptive Computing.
Software Engineer
The interview process involved zoom calls. It started with a phone screen, followed by an interview with management where I was asked technical questions. Next, I interviewed with the CEO. Salary was discussed in the final interview.
- How are you doing today?
Software Engineer
It kicked off with a non-technical chat on the phone, covering talking about myself from the resume, then moved to technical questions. These included Java and object-oriented programming concepts. There were also programming parts where you figure out what code does. It also had a bit of Java programming involved.
- Tell me about the difference between break and continue.
- Is it possible for multiple catch blocks to be executed?
- What is your understanding of MVC (Model-View-Controller)?
FPGA/Computer Engineer
Got a call from HR asking to chat about my resume. I figured it was the usual quick chat before an interview, so I said yes. But then, it turned into a full-on, aggressive, and kinda disjointed phone interview. I felt like they were trying to catch me off guard. Shortly after, they called again for another technical phone interview. I didn't like the pushy vibe and told them so.
- Be ready to verbally code syntax-based questions.
- Questions about FPGA/Computer Engineering syntax.
Frontend Developer
The interview followed a generic, outdated script, making it feel more like a high school quiz than a dev job interview. It offered little chance to show actual engineering skills and no real insight into the job itself. Almost every question was about reciting vocabulary.
- Can you list 10 HTTP response status codes?
- What are the differences between ECMAScript 5 and ECMAScript 6?
- What distinguishes HTTP/1.1 from HTTP/2.0?
