I was hired by an external recruiting firm. My first interview was with someone not directly from the company. After that, a group of us were selected for a three-day sales training class. Post-class, only a few of us were offered positions. We were then assigned to dealerships, and it was made clear that only a few would remain long-term. After the first month, the top performers kept their jobs. The whole hiring process took about three weeks.

The interview process at the Ed Morse dealership was really simple. We talked about my past sales experience and any experience I had working directly with customers. We also went over my expectations for the job and what the job expected of me. It was a pretty quick and direct interview, which is pretty normal for a sales position at a car dealership.

The interview process went well. I talked to the BDC manager and did some tests to see how I'd handle different situations. I got the job after just one interview.
