HR was good and kept in touch. But the hiring manager really dropped the ball. He seemed checked out from the start of the second interview, just leaning back with his hands behind his head, and didn't even introduce himself or the company. The whole vibe felt rude and unprofessional.

Pros: The actual interviews were pretty well put together and gave a good chance to chat with the team. Cons: The offer stage was a mess... They seemed unsure if I'd fit in the new job (relocation was only brought up after the last interview). Instead of explaining more or sharing the offer for me to review after I passed, they were vague, gave half-hearted promises, and then just went silent.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • There was an assessment centre which included group discussions and tasks.
  • There were two one-on-one mini cases, one about logistics costs and math.
  • There was another one-on-one mini case that involved a logic exercise and discussion about commodity futures/forwards.

So I applied online and about a month later, I had to do this thing where I recorded myself answering 5 questions on an app called Spark Hire. They were pretty standard questions, like why commodities, strengths/weaknesses, and about my experience. A week after that, I had a short video call with an HR person. Then, about a month later, I had an on-site interview in London, which was a panel with HR and someone from Ops/Trading. They even covered my travel costs! The last step was about 3 weeks after that, another panel interview at the London HQ. This time, I had to give a 5-minute presentation on a business plan and then answer some questions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Why are you interested in commodities?
  • What would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
  • Can you describe your past experiences?
