Behavioral Case Presentation

It kicked off with a phone screen, then moved to two in-person interviews. Every stage had tough but fair questions. The interviewers were really nice and made an effort to understand me, my abilities, and if I'd be a good fit for the job and the company. They also asked for case studies. The recruiter, Molly Skerjance, was also amazing, keeping me in the loop the whole time. Overall, a really good experience.

I had a phone screen with a recruiter from Ecumen's home office and then they invited me for an interview. My first interview was at the facility I applied to, meeting the housing director and the regional HRBP. The next day, I was called in for a second interview, also at the facility, where I met the housing director and the rest of the leadership team. The recruiter, Molly, was great and kept me updated all week, following up on both interviews and giving me a specific date for their decision. I got a call on that day with an offer. The whole experience was super smooth. I always knew where things stood and what the timeline was. The team was really good at keeping me informed and organized throughout.

I interviewed with the department Director, two women who had previously held the job I was interviewing for, and one HR rep. I went to their headquarters in person for an hour long interview. I was told toward the end of our discussion that I was one of the first candidates they were talking with, and that I wouldn't hear back for at least a week. Well, the next day merely hours after my meeting everyone I received the standard "Thanks but no thanks" stock email stating "thank you for your interest...but we are looking at other candidates". This is usually the response you get when you don't get an in person interview. I was astounded by this - it was not only impersonal, but very rude. I emailed two HR people to ask if they had any feedback for me, and I haven't heard one word back. Very unprofessional.

The recruiter Molly was super helpful and kept me in the loop from the very start. We used Google Meet for the interviews, which worked great and made it easy to talk with everyone (there were 3-4 people in each meeting). It was honestly the best interview experience I've had, and the leadership team is awesome. Can't wait to start at Ecumen!
