The process started online with technical tests sent by email. In August 2024, they invited 2000 people to B/meja, and people were eliminated throughout each day. It had 4 parts: first, a written technical test lasting 45 minutes; second, a group exercise with a case study, where everyone had 15 minutes to respond together; third, an individual interview; and fourth, later on, an interview with management.

I applied through their website. It was a 7-step process from application to the final interview. Then they sent me a link to answer some job-related questions. After that, there were psychometric tests. Then I had to send a 3-minute video about my experience with projects or plant shutdowns. Following that was a group interview and then an individual one. I reached the final stage with 4 other people. What I noticed in the group interview was that I was the only external candidate. The others were already part of Ecopetrol. I guess they were looking for promotions. The group and individual interviews were on the same day and lasted over 4 hours. I had to wait for the last slot for the individual interview.
