I got a phone call for a screening and they wanted to bring me in for an interview, but the hiring manager was out of town. They said I'd get an email the next week. I called them 2 weeks later because I hadn't heard anything and was told the hiring manager was still unavailable and would be back the next week. I waited another 2 weeks and sent a follow-up to see if they still wanted to interview me. I never got a response or an email saying I was rejected. I work in HR and it's really unprofessional to not follow up with candidates, whether it's by phone, an automated email, or an individual email.

The interview seemed nice at first. Throughout the interview, two of the hiring managers took turns nitpicking at my previous work history and the answers I gave to their questions. I felt as if they were playing good cop, bad cop. I felt belittled, as if I wasn't good enough. The male manager kept looking at the flat shoes I had on, like I should've been wearing heels. He made me feel as if he saw my LinkedIn picture where I was wearing heels and I wasn't good enough. I thought for sure they weren't going to hire me.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Started with a recruiter call, who was my main point of contact for scheduling. Then had two more interviews with senior staff. The final step was a writing assignment, after which I was supposed to have an in-person visit to check out the company culture. I waited about two weeks for feedback on my writing and next steps, sending a follow-up email in between. Eventually, I got an automated email late at night saying I didn't get the job. It felt like I did free work for them with the writing assignment and was led on for about a month and a half. It's not a good look to make it to the final round and only get an automated rejection email in the middle of the night instead of a personal call or email.

I submitted my resume and received a phone call the very next day. We then scheduled an interview for the following week. When I attended the interview, two employees conducted it. They asked a lot about teamwork, one-on-one interactions, and being on the phone about 95% of the time, calling borrowers and setting up new repayment plans. They want you to be ready to answer many questions.
