First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eaze.
Delivery Driver
It was a fast process. They did a quick background check. They asked me about my availability, like if I could work weekends or nights, and what kind of part-time hours I was looking for. I got hired within a month of first talking to them.
- Do you have experience with cannabis?
- What previous industry experience do you have?
- Can you tell me about your availability?
Live Operations Specialist
My interview process with Eaze started with a 30-min screening call with the team manager, Terry, who shared a lot about the role and team. The next day, HR reached out to set up the second interview, which was a 3-hour panel with the Live Ops team. It was cool hearing different views from everyone on working at Eaze, and they asked some really good questions. Terry mentioned a written assignment would be next, after a 2-day follow-up. I didn't hear back in 2 days, so I emailed Terry. No response from him, but the HR person, Britini, sent me the writing assignment. I sent it back the next day. Then, a week went by with no confirmation or timeline, so I followed up. I was then rejected with some nice words about my potential and encouragement to keep applying. I asked for more feedback, but got no response. While talking to Terry and the team was great, the communication was rough, and I had to chase them for info. It was also a bit confusing to feel so confident about getting an offer, only to be rejected without specific feedback on what they were looking for.
- What single change would you make to the cannabis industry and how would you implement it?
- Can you tell us about a significant challenge you've faced in your life, how you dealt with it, and what you might do differently in hindsight?
- What's a life-hack you find particularly useful?

After applying online, it took the HR person over a month to respond. We then scheduled a phone screen, but she was late calling me. The interview structure was unusual and caught me off guard. She began by outlining the phone interview: first, I should ask any questions I had about the company and the role, then she would provide more information about the company, and finally, I would discuss my background. The HR person couldn't give any specific details about the role and spoke quickly and rudely, making me feel like she wasn't interested.
- Do you have any questions for me?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Compliance Specialist
I sent in my application online and got a response about a week later to schedule a phone screen with someone from Recruiting. The recruiter call was pretty laid-back, and at the end, I was invited to meet the hiring manager (HM) later that week. They stressed that meeting the HM in person was highly preferred. The recruiter emailed to see if I could meet the HM the next day, but since I'm not local, I couldn't make it on such short notice and suggested a phone call instead. The recruiter then asked for my availability the following week for an in-person meeting (they seemed really set on an in-person meeting again), which I provided, but then I heard nothing back. I even followed up with the recruiter again the next week, but I didn't even get a rejection email. I really think Eaze needs to make sure their recruiting team keeps candidates updated throughout the interview process.
