Behavioral Presentation Case

I went through 5 rounds of interviews for this role. First, I spoke with the recruiter. After that, I had an interview with the manager. Then, there was a presentation round, followed by a peer round. The very last interview was with the CEO.

The interview was a 20-minute session with Judith who started by saying she no longer wanted to do the job she was performing (screening). Which, was a red flag and set the tone for what followed. She then asked me if I read the articles she sent over which I hadn't and then asked nothing else about them. Thereafter, she did most of the talking explaining what the job would entail. I found the whole interview to be thoughtless and rushed not what I believed EL culture would be aligned with.

Behavioral Presentation Case Other

Over several weeks, I went through their process: First, an intro call with the People leader. Then, an interview with the Chief of Staff. Next, I interviewed with the CEO and Head of Sales. After that, I had to do a presentation for the CEO, CTO, and an external consultant. The presentation involved creating market research, competitive analysis, and a roadmap for an EasyLlama capability. They then requested 5 references, and apparently some of them were told an offer was coming during the reference check. After that, they booked me to fly across the country for a dinner with the leadership team. The travel was arranged before the reference check was done, but the check was completed before I traveled. This travel required juggling my child's medical needs and my husband's demanding work schedule. The dinner itself didn't really give me clarity on next steps. The following week, I followed up and the Head of People wanted to chat. On the call, she said the co-founders decided to pause the role to figure out what they actually needed to hire. I told her it was pretty wild to do that so late in the process. A couple of weeks later, they re-posted the exact same role.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and a recruiter contacted me about a week later to set up an interview. After I gave my availability, it took another week to get the interview confirmed. I had a 20-minute interview scheduled with the hiring manager. From the start, it felt unorganized. The calendar invite had a Zoom link but no meeting passcode. I had to reach out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn and the recruiter by email before I got a working link without a passcode. A small mistake, maybe. I should have seen that as a sign.
