It was a round robin style interview where I met with multiple members of the team I would be joining. It took several hours in total and was pretty exhausting, even though the questions weren't that difficult. The interview was conducted over Zoom.

Behavioral Technical

This was a really long interview process. I sent in my application online and heard back about a month later for a phone screen. Then, about a month after that, I was invited for an on-site interview. When I got there, they gave me a quick tour of the place. After that, I had a panel interview with three people, and then a short one-on-one chat with a fourth person. They asked pretty standard questions, nothing unexpected. The panel interviewers read their questions from paper. The whole on-site visit was about two hours long. I got a follow-up a few weeks later.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

My interview at Eastman was a full day of meetings. Since the Kingsport site is the main headquarters, there were many openings, so I got to talk with different groups in both research and analytical science. I had panel interviews and one-on-one chats, which were pretty laid-back and pleasant. I could tell what the workplace culture was like right away – everyone was really nice and polite. I also got to see different parts of the plant. Like most interviews, I was a bit nervous, but it was a good experience compared to others I've had.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a mistake you made on a college project or at work, and what you learned from it that you'll use going forward.
