Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eastman.
Supply Chain Intern
Had two team interviews, each with two interviewers. They asked questions about my past internships and schoolwork to gauge my personality. It was all soft skills questions.
- Can you share an example of when you demonstrated leadership in a past job or during your studies?
Supply Chain Analyst
The hiring process began at an on-campus career fair with Eastman employees who worked in Supply Chain. The next day, I had an on-campus interview. The first part involved Eastman explaining their company and their integrated global supply chain. The second part focused on my resume and personal questions, making it a personal and non-intimidating interview. Following this, I was invited to Kingsport for a full-day onsite interview where I discussed my background and answered technical questions assessing my analytical skills.
- What qualities distinguish a good leader from a great leader?
Supply Chain Analyst
So, I had three rounds of interviews. First was with the direct manager, then the global manager, and finally the local team. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and clearly knew their stuff in the industry. Overall, it was a good experience, though I felt like they weren't super keen on candidates from outside their usual industry background. Weirdly, after those three rounds, they wanted me to interview for a different role, which is a bit off from what I'm doing now. I'm actually interested in that role too, but they seem to really want people with planning experience for it.
- Can you tell me what changes you'd propose for the current optimization project?
