First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eastern Washington University.
Program Coordinator
The interview process was a bit confusing, and expectations weren't always super clear. Everyone I talked to was really nice, and the questions were good and pretty much what I expected. Some parts of the process, which were supposed to be about getting feedback, ended up being overly complicated.
- What do you see yourself accomplishing in this position?
Academic Advisor
The interview was conducted via Zoom and lasted for an hour with three members of the hiring committee. I was asked six questions during the interview.

- What experiences do you have working with individuals from backgrounds different from your own?
Fitness Instructor
The hiring process involves a few assistant directors who are grad students at Eastern Washington University. They're looking for keywords like fitness, personal training, and safety. They want to know if you're aiming to be a personal trainer or work in the fitness industry. If you pass the first interview, you'll have another one with the head of the fitness center.
- I skipped the interview process but was well informed on the structure.
Assistant Director
It was a full day of interviews. There were teaching sessions. I met with the hiring manager for about an eighth of the day. Students, faculty, and administrators were part of the process. We took a campus tour. There was also a lunch panel.
