HR reached out and did an initial screening. Then the department contacted me to set up an interview. I interviewed with the department manager. I got a call within a week with an offer. The salary was set and not up for discussion. I had a drug test the very next day. It was a pretty simple process overall.

I really wanted this job, so I went above and beyond the standard application. After applying online, I found the contact info for the department I'd be working in and reached out directly via email. I introduced myself and made it clear I wasn't just another applicant, asking for an interview. Apparently, this proactive interest was key to me getting selected, as they mentioned needing someone reliable and committed. I had a couple of calls during their decision phase, including one to schedule my interview. The interview itself involved three people in a conference room who all asked questions. It felt pretty easy because they were all friendly. They focused on understanding my commitment to the company, my future aspirations, my work ethic, and my ability to work independently, given that my supervisor might be occupied. They were essentially trying to gauge my reliability and long-term potential.

I applied online and about a month later, I got a call for an interview. It was a two-part interview on the same day: first, I met with two staff members one-on-one, and then I met with the executive. The interview felt pretty relaxed and informal. They said they'd let me know by early March. I followed up and was told I'd hear back by phone, email, or mail, but I never did.

The interview was pretty chill. I met one-on-one with my direct supervisor at the office. They asked me some questions, like about whether I could pick up new techniques. I also had to show them my undergrad transcripts during the interview.
