The interview process was pretty straightforward. They asked eight questions in total, mostly about the university and what they expect from faculty. I had to discuss my teaching approach and how I'd handle students facing difficulties.

The interview process was pretty good. I was interviewed by multiple people on Zoom. Employee recommendations can help. Make sure to have a cover letter ready. They'll present you with specific situations and ask about your past employment experiences.

I applied online through the Eastern jobs website, filling out a form and submitting my resume. A few days later, I got an email from the Assistant Director of Student Activities to set up an interview. I got to the student activities office a little early and was ready for my interview. After waiting a bit, I was called in. The Assistant Director of Student Activities and their grad intern interviewed me. They were very professional and laid back. They asked the usual interview questions and then told me to expect an email in a couple of days about whether I got the job. The interview was about 20-30 minutes, and I didn't feel rushed. I got the job offer.

The interview was rushed and disorganized. I had to present my lecture and portfolio multiple times because the hiring committee was all over the place, with members coming in and out. The job itself was misrepresented as it was a new position that hadn't been properly defined and had some clashes with other departments. Looking back, it did give me a good sense of the university's culture. It seems like I wouldn't be supported and wouldn't get proper credit for my teaching.
