the interview process wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, everyone in the interview process was friendly and truly wanted nothing but the best for you. Was happy to hear that my lab partner throughout college got the job.

I was contacted about a week after submitting my resume. No online application was used, but an interview was scheduled a few days later. I went in for an HR interview, waited about 10 minutes, and then was called in. They mostly asked standard behavioral questions and went over my resume. The interviewer was very friendly and then asked me to complete an Excel skills test. I was informed that the specific department would reach out if they wanted to schedule further interviews.

I applied online and then got a call for a phone interview where they mainly asked about my work history, drawing questions from my resume. After that, I was invited for the final onsite interviews. I met with a group of interviewers, including the hiring manager, in a conference room. The questions weren't too tough and I felt I handled most of them well.

The hiring process took a while, and I had to call repeatedly. The people were really nice, though. I had an in-depth conversation with my interviewer about my past, including my jail time for felony drug charges. My last conviction was over 13 years ago, and I haven't been in prison for over 9 years. I went through all the different phases and passed every test. The day before I was supposed to start, HR called and said I wasn't honest about a charge and they were withdrawing the offer. I was shocked because I had showed my daughter where I was going to work and explained I'd be able to buy her things. I asked the HR lady what charge, and she said I didn't mention 'Intimidating A Witness/Simple Assault,' which is a felony. I explained that the application only had two lines for convictions, and I didn't have enough room, but I told the interviewer about it and she said to just put the ones I remembered most. I felt like I told the interviewer my whole life story. The HR lady said the charge was exactly 22 years old, the most minor one, and even though I could prove I'm not that person anymore, they decided not to hire me.
