Got called in for a screening interview about 2-3 weeks after applying. Had another interview a week later. The second interview had harder questions about my working style and technical knowledge.

I only made it to a phone interview. I think I did great and felt I was a bit overqualified. The interviewer was actually quite rude, even though I remained professional.

After the initial interview went well, I followed up two weeks later and was told they were interested in hiring me. Another two weeks passed, and after I inquired via voicemail, they called to ask about my reference form, which I had already completed during the interview. I confirmed I'd sent it but offered to resend it to the point person. When I asked about the next steps, they said they'd be in touch. Two more weeks went by. After leaving a voicemail and email, I learned the point person was on vacation for the following week. I called eight days after she returned and received a standard email stating I didn't have the right skills and experience for the position. When I pressed for details, they mentioned it was because I was seeking part-time work. I stated I was open to full-time, but there was no further response. This drawn-out process felt disorganized and understaffed, putting pressure on their team.

It was a pretty straightforward interview process once I found the correct building and person to speak with. The location seemed secure and maybe a bit intimidating at first, but once inside the office, it felt comfortable. For this intern role, they asked the typical questions about your reasons for entering the field, your interest in this particular site, and your teamwork abilities. I got the impression they were mainly assessing my comfort level and confidence in the setting and with the staff.
