It was an in-person interview, and the people interviewing were really nice and informative. They explained the role of an assistant well. The whole thing felt organized and thoughtful. Two people interviewed me for about 45 minutes. They also gave me a tour and went over expectations. I even got a parking pass.

I interviewed with the Children's Program Manager and Director at their office. They mostly asked me about my past experience and how I would deal with certain situations. There wasn't a lot of back-and-forth, they just wrote down my answers and didn't say much.

It started with an email suggesting a phone chat. The first call covered basic stuff like my aquatics background and what draws me to it. If that went well, the next step was an in-person meeting with the aquatics director for more detailed questions. After the interview, they showed me around the facility, which was really impressive and well-maintained. They seemed to put a big focus on how to handle customers.

I had a 30 minute in-person chat with the HR Coordinator. She showed me around the place first, then we talked. She asked me about 5-10 questions about my skills and how I've done in past jobs. It was a really nice and welcoming chat. I heard back about whether I got the job about two weeks later.
