Barista
The interview process was pretty quick and to the point. They didn't really go into a lot of the usual interview stuff, but were upfront and honest about what they needed at the moment and were basically trying to see if it was a good fit. They were clear about what they were looking for.
- Can you tell me about your availability, and will it remain consistent for the next three to six months?
Barista
I applied because it was local and in a gym, seemed like good tip potential. The phone screen was easy and pleasant. They pay barely minimum wage, which is rough because many CA coffee shops pay more now. I then spoke with the store manager, but they'd already hired someone the day before. Maybe they don't communicate well, or the manager decided against me because I was too honest about not being fully dedicated, saying I'm looking for an ideal role and not sure how long I can commit, though I do have barista experience. Anyway, I don't think their business model is solid. They talk about their mission and values but don't pay fairly to help employees achieve them.
- Can you give a basic overview of your experience?
- Do you align with our values?
Sales Associate
So I had two interviews for this role. It was a good experience overall, which is why I accepted the offer. The owner's wife was really nice. But it turned out that no one else was friendly besides her. I didn't really feel any strong way about Noah, but considering the managers he hired, I'm not so sure.
