It was a bit different - it started with a few intro calls from people already working there. They asked my thoughts on companies I'd worked at, what industries I'm into, and how they work. It felt a bit like a phishing interview, not very formal.

So, Earnest Partners had this 4-round interview thing. First, I chatted with the recruiter, who was my main point person. Then I talked to the hiring manager. After that, I had this in-person meeting with the founder, which was pretty thoughtful. The last part was an on-site presentation at their main office in Atlanta. All the rounds felt fair and professional, but it just wasn't the right fit in the end.

It was a really drawn-out interview process, with five stages in total, including a case study. They were pretty good at communicating for the most part, but after the last interview, they just kind of went silent. It was a bummer, honestly, after putting in so much effort.

A recruiter reached out asking for my resume, I sent it and we set up a call with the hiring manager. The hiring manager asked me questions only about my college experience, like my favorite professor, class, and theories I learned at my university and major. It was kind of random since I graduated college 15 years ago. I was ready to talk about my 15 years of experience leading teams, building financial products and winning awards. Maybe the HR person mixed up the interview.
