Behavioral Case

The interview process mostly consisted of hypothetical questions that didn't really reflect a typical day-to-day job. They seemed to overstate the amount of independence and autonomy required. The interviewers asked a lot of "what if" questions to gauge my reactions to unlikely scenarios, instead of focusing on my skills and experience.

Behavioral Other

It was quick, only two interviews. First, a phone screen where they asked about my past work and why I wanted to join this firm. Then, a tandem interview which was long, but it basically covered the same things as the Career History Form.

Behavioral Other

They use a top-grading method, which is a detailed and strict review of your entire work and academic background, starting from high school. While the interviewers were kind and well-intentioned, this interview style wasn't for me. I've never felt so insecure or uncertain in an interview before; it felt overly intimate and probing in a way that left me feeling uncomfortable with myself and the company, almost emotionally invasive for a professional setting. I still liked the hiring team and would recommend the company to friends, but something felt off for me, and it wasn't surprising they felt the same about me (no offer). I think I didn't appreciate their strong belief in the process. As a rational thinker, the ability to openly question methodology and assumptions is core to who I am, how I work, and why I work. So, their interview process showed me it wasn't a good match. I wish them well and would recommend Eagle Hill, but it's not for me.
