First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at e-TeleQuote Insurance.
Licensed Insurance Agent
The interview process was easy. The assessments might be a bit tricky, especially the Spanish one. Some questions might seem like they are for something else, but they are still part of the hiring process. If you're ready, it'll be simpler.
- Can you tell me about your previous jobs?
- What is your experience with Medicare?
Content Marketing Specialist
I applied on ZipRecruiter and heard back from the HR Director within a day or two. She scheduled a phone screen and then an in-person interview for the next week. The first in-person interview was with the VP of Marketing and the HR Director. After that, I was called back for a second and final in-person interview. This time, I met with the VP of Marketing again, along with the CFO and General Counsel. I also completed a timed social media/marketing assessment, which was straightforward. Following this, I had to submit writing assessments. The job offer came via email that same week, and I accepted. The entire process was pretty fast, taking about 3 weeks from application to offer. I started two weeks after accepting.
- Can you describe your most successful project, including any challenges you faced and how you overcame them?
- What attracts you to e-TeleQuote?
- What are your career goals and how does this position align with them?
Health Insurance Agent
Recruiter was professional and helpful, interviewed me, sent assessment links, then set up a video interview with a sales director for the next day, saying offer and all had to be done by then. The video interview was with an assistant who was multitasking, supervising sales calls and interviewing me, not paying attention. The interview ran over an hour as she had to leave twice for long phone call supervision sessions. She clearly wasn't listening, responded to things I didn't say, and was argumentative. She complained about Medicare beneficiaries, the company's top agents having bad compliance, how she never wanted to be a top agent, and how bad the company's sales calls are. They only have 5 carriers, not the big six, and many calls are outbound, which she said were brutal, so leads aren't screened. They also hide the pay/commission/bonus structure. She bragged about her 1-sale-a-day limit and was resentful of those who sell all day. This company is unprofessional, has bitter employees, and hides its pay.
- The interviewer was too distracted and busy complaining to ask the intended questions.
Licensed Insurance Agent
The interview process for the licensed insurance agent role was thorough, allowing the hiring company to really check out my skills and see if I'd be a good fit. It was set up to test my technical knowledge, how I solve problems, if I'd fit in with the team, and if I could grow with the company. The way they ran things showed they're serious about hiring the right person.
- Tell me about a tough customer situation you dealt with and what you did to fix it.
