First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at E.ON.
Office Manager
I got a call from E.on and agreed to interview because I have a good relationship with some of their commercial managers. The offices and culture seemed great, but the interview was rushed, lasting an hour. The main interviewer seemed too busy and lacked people skills, giving me a quick intro before diving into competency-based questions. They didn't ask about my experience, personal journey, or social interests, which I feel is not how you retain talent nowadays. Some questions were relevant, but many didn't align with the role or the development of a new department. My strengths in process development, regulatory understanding, sales, and lean management weren't explored. The second interviewer was more engaged and showed interest. Both interviewers were from non-energy backgrounds, which isn't necessarily bad. E.on is a great company and getting an interview was good, but it was probably the worst interview experience I've had. The interview scroll date is also outdated, only showing up to April 2018.

Manager
Two different interviews, both online video calls. The first was only with the department head, which was nice and very relaxed. The second was with the team, and they asked a lot of questions, I was really put through the wringer. They asked about technical subjects, personal matters, my successes, and how I react under stress. They also asked about the company's goals.
- What are the company's goals?
- Tell me about your successes.
- How do you react under stress?
Innovation Manager
It was a 3 stage process, starting with an initial exploratory call, then a GMAT style test and a 2 hour case study done on the spot, followed by an interview and Q&A. I never met anyone in person. The whole thing took about 2 months from the first interview until I got the offer.
- What's your general motivation and can you discuss past projects?
