Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DynCorp International.
Financial Analyst
I talked to the hiring manager first, then right after I had interviews with the supervisor and program director. They asked pretty basic questions and were both super nice, explaining the job and program stuff.
- Can you tell me about your experience with financial analysis?
- What's your background in forecasting?
- How would you describe your skills in budgeting?
Finance Analyst
I was reached out to by a recruiter for an interview. We picked a time and date, but when I showed up, they weren't expecting me. So we had to reschedule. This happened again after I showed up a second time, and they still didn't know I was coming. I rescheduled a third time, and finally, they were prepared. This whole situation put me on edge from the start. If they couldn't manage a simple interview scheduling, I wondered about the work environment. The interview itself was just the first step. I interviewed in June or July, but the MRPT Security Clearance process took so long that I didn't actually start until December.
- It felt like a casual chat, as the questions were all over the place and didn't really prepare me for the actual job duties.
Financial Analyst
The phone interview was about 30 minutes. The job description was helpful, and overall it was a good call. DynCorp is a good company but the leadership in Afghanistan doesn't support their employees.
- Could you tell me about one of your weaknesses?
