So, had an initial phone interview with one of the partners. Then an in-person interview with another partner. The in-person one was pretty long, an hour. The phone call was shorter, just 15 minutes. They asked a lot about my current book of business, how I work, what I charge compared to others, where my clients are from, and if I need any help.

I had three interviews with five people. It took a month to plan, interview, and spend over 20 hours of my time. I got an offer letter and accepted. The next week, the CIO wanted to meet. He asked me really basic technical support questions, like setting up email on an Android or what to do if someone can't get into their email. I was surprised. The next day, they called to say my offer was off the table because the CIO didn't think I was the right fit. He waited a whole month to talk to me, after I'd already signed and sent back my acceptance, and then took it back. This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen at work. The CIO made a last-minute move and disrespected me and everyone who spent so much time vetting me.

I went through a full day of interviews at the office. I met with the managing partner and other attorneys there. I also had lunch with a managing partner and an associate.

I applied and heard back from a recruiter quickly. The first step was a phone screen, which I think went well. The next week, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and that also seemed to go okay. Then, I was supposed to have an in-person interview with the director. I took time off work and went to the building, but when I got to security, they called up and found out the director wasn't there and no one knew where he was. A few days later, I got an email about being stood up. It was really unprofessional and makes me think twice about working there.
