Pump Mechanic
I was offered a position at top pay and we shook hands and I accepted the offer. I was asked to fill out another application on the spot on the hiring managers computer and then they ghosted me. They have not returned my calls, or given direction on how to proceed with the hiring process and I would proceed with caution if offered a job. I will no longer accept the position based on the lack of communications i have recieved and feel like they were not happy starting me at top pay and had hopes of finding someone cheaper. I was also offered a better, higher paying job in the interim, know your worth and get the good pay on the way in. Do not hope they will be generous later.
- Can you describe your experience with progressive cavity pumps?
- Can you describe your experience rebuilding rotating equipment?
Sourcing Specialist
The application was pretty easy and they had great communication, responding quickly. Someone reached out within days of applying and we were able to set up an interview for that week. It was a virtual interview, and then I went in for a second interview the following week.
- Can you tell me about your experience with distribution and cost savings?
Staff Accountant
The interview process started with an initial interview with the controller. Then, there will be a panel style interview where they will review a behavioral assessment that needs to be completed after the first interview. The Houston office on Hollister was easy to find, right off 290. Upon arrival, you might be confused if you're used to other big employers. The office is under construction, and you have to go to the 4th floor. You'll see black drop cloths, with 'Accounting' to the left and 'HR' to the right. You need to ring a bell if the receptionist isn't there and then wait. The overall first impression is a bit scary due to the construction, and the recruiter might not have mentioned any of this.
- Can you discuss your background with external audits?
- What was the size of your accounting team?
- Could you describe your involvement with the month-end close process?
Human Resources Coordinator
I was contacted by the Recruiter about the job and set up for an in-person interview with the Senior HR Coordinator. It went great, and a week later the Recruiter let me know I was moving on to a second interview with the Director and that I needed to take the online Brooks Assessment. I thought it was odd to take the test after the first interview. I completed the test and told the Recruiter. After that, I never heard back. I emailed the Recruiter and the person I interviewed with multiple times with no response. It took about 4 weeks until my last email when I got an automated response saying I wasn't selected. This felt really unprofessional to me. I always do well on behavioral assessments, and I wasn't told why I wasn't getting the second interview I was expecting. I won't be applying here again and won't recommend anyone else to.
