Project Manager
I applied through LinkedIn and then the HR person set up a Teams call with me really quickly. During the call, she mentioned building work was happening so she couldn't turn her camera on, but I had to keep mine on. It was a bit odd answering questions looking at a black screen. The questions were pretty standard stuff, like asking about Dunnhumby and my projects. It's been about a month since then and I've still not heard back.
- What is your understanding of Dunnhumby?
- What motivated your application for this role?
- Could you explain your reasons for leaving your current job?
Project Manager
Applied through their online portal which had some questions about why I wanted to join DH. After that, I had a quick call with a recruiter. Then I had a meeting with the hiring manager and someone from HR. Everything was done virtually because of COVID.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working for DH?
Project Manager
I went through a 3-stage interview process: a phone call, a video call, and a face-to-face interview. Initially, I applied for a different role, but someone with more experience got the offer. However, the hiring managers were really impressed and suggested I apply for another position. Even though I didn't have formal training or extensive experience for that role, they encouraged me to apply. I had an initial phone interview with the hiring manager, and then they invited me for a face-to-face interview because I showed good transferable skills. Both interviews were enjoyable. Sadly, it's been 7 weeks with no feedback, and my emails to the recruiter and hiring manager went unanswered. It's disappointing when companies don't value the emotional investment people put into job searching and don't provide enriching experiences, regardless of the outcome.
- Could you present a case study?
