Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at dunnhumby.
Product Manager
The interview process has 3 rounds. First, a chat with a PM about your background. Second, a case study presentation to see how you solve problems and think strategically. They were pretty rough with questions, almost disrespectful, in the name of sharing their thoughts. Third, a talk with the Product Director to see if you fit the company's vision and leadership expectations.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Please present your case study.
Product Manager
The interview process has 3 rounds, but the first HR discussion doesn't count as a round. The second is a Technical interview which lasts 1 hour. It involves discussing your prior work, your interest in dunnhumby, and some scenario-based questions. The third round is a Case study round. HR will provide a case study about a B2B product. You'll need to prepare a presentation based on this case study. During the interview, you'll be grilled on your presentation and the ideas you present. There will also be some scenario-based questions. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back about the results. HR stopped responding to emails and calls after the interviews, even though they were responsive initially.
- Tell me about your previous experience.
- What makes you want to join dunnhumby?
- How would you handle these hypothetical situations?
Product Manager
It was a professional, good chat, and they asked relevant questions but were open and easy to chat with. Two interviews happened quickly, both within two weeks of each other. They were quick to make a decision and provide the paperwork.
- Can you describe a time you implemented a complex solution?
