First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Duncan Aviation.
Program Analyst
There were 3 phases of interview, first a call from the hiring manager to learn about the skills, second interview was a video call with part of the team, the third and last was an in-person interview with the same team that was in the video call, the staff was very friendly and despite being a long interview it felt like a fluid conversation.
- Where do you see your career in five years?
Paint Specialist
It was a simple walk-in interview with general questions, and it was very professional. When you first arrive, the hiring manager introduces himself, and then you do the same. After that, he'll tell you what he's looking for and the questions he plans to ask. From there, you'll take a walk around the facility and then come back to him with any questions you might have. Overall, it was a great experience.
- What are your short-term and long-term goals?
Airframe Mechanic
I sent in my application online on July 3, 2008. About two weeks later, I had a phone interview where they asked some basic questions and we talked about my resume. Another 20 days passed, and then I got a call to see if I could make it for an in-person interview, and they offered to fly me out. The actual interview was 30 days after that. They covered my round-trip flight, a rental car, and one night at the Hampton Inn. They flew me in the day before so I could get a feel for the area. The interview itself was with three airframe team leaders. They asked standard interview questions like 'What are your 3 best traits?', 'What are your 3 weaknesses?', and 'How do you handle yourself under pressure?'
- Could you tell me about your three biggest weaknesses?
Airframe Intern
I submitted my application online, and the status updated to 'screened.' I reached out to inquire about this, and they mentioned they were still gathering applications and would inform candidates of the next steps shortly. About a month later, I got an email stating they had chosen other candidates, and I wasn't selected. I never actually got to speak with anyone or have an interview.
