First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DUMAC Business Systems, Inc..
Office Manager
The process was thorough and informative. It was interesting and very friendly. They listened intently to what I said. There were 3 people on the board and they asked questions about my background and how I cope with pressure.
- How do you handle stressful situations?
Field Service Technician
It was a basic interview process to start. Then I met with the manager for a better feel of the role and to do some on-site skills testing. I first spoke with the HR recruiter, and then the manager. It's a small family-run business. I'd recommend them. I did accept the position, but unfortunately, I had some medical issues outside of my control and couldn't drive for a few months.
- Can you explain what a computer in post is?
Administrative Assistant
I applied online. First, I had a phone screening with the hiring manager. She repeatedly said that she didn't want to waste her time with people who were looking for raises or promotions later on. She gave me a bad impression of the company culture, so I turned down an invitation for a later in-person interview.
- What's the lowest salary you'll accept?
- Have you worked with sales teams before?
- Are you good at Excel?
Helpdesk Technician
I had two interviews, one with the HR director and another with the helpdesk manager. HR called me about a week after I sent my resume. We just went over my past experience and some basic questions. The manager's interview was three days later and more involved. He showed me around the office, pointed out where I'd be working, and let me observe the current team. Then I did a computer literacy test, and that was it.
- How would you deal with an understandably upset customer whose problem has been delayed?
