HR Generalist
So after you apply, there's a screening step, then a bunch of interviews - phone, virtual, and in-person. You might also do some assessments. Then there's follow-up. It's all about seeing if your skills and experience match what we need and if you'd fit in with the company culture. Basically, we want to make sure you're a good fit for the role and for us.
- What motivates you to seek employment with this organization?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I put in my application via LinkedIn in early Jan. A few days later, I got an email to set up a phone screen with the recruiter. Then I had 2 virtual interviews with the hiring manager and the executive director. After that, I had a final in-person interview with them too, making it 4 interviews in total. The recruiter was super helpful and quick to reply during the whole thing, which lasted about 4 weeks.
- Can you tell me about your social media experience?
- Have you ever run email campaigns before?
- What would your previous managers say about you?
Surgery Scheduler
The office staff was disorganized, and the interview environment felt informal. It was a haphazard experience, and I wasn't sure when the personnel I was supposed to meet would be available. I had to wait in the waiting room alongside other individuals who were being trained for reception duties, and they seemed to be left without supervision or support.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain how your experience relates to this role?
- What are your questions for us?
- What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
Manager
I didn't have prior healthcare experience when I applied, but they interviewed me for a manager role in a new company venture. First, I met with a potential co-manager for a 2-hour chat. Next, I spoke with the Executive Director of Patient Accounts for about an hour. They asked about my experience managing people, dealing with stress, and equipment issues. They also inquired about working with contractors, which was key since the site was under construction. Finally, I had a conversation with the CEO, who focused more on life experiences than job-specific questions.
- Can you explain how your engineering background prepares you for a role as a healthcare manager?
- Tell me about how you've managed employees in the past.
- Describe your strategies for handling workplace stress.
