I interviewed a few times several months ago. Seemingly positive interviews with thoughtful discussions. They asked for patience in the process, but I never heard back from any stakeholder, even after following up. Feedback, both negative or positive, along with decisions are a common courtesy for both parties.

Behavioral Other

I interviewed with 4 people at DS Smith, including a recruiter. Two of the interviewers didn't know I hadn't applied for the position, which made the questions a bit strange. One interview felt rushed, I was interrupted a lot, and the interviewer was clearly distracted by other things like screens and emails to really focus. The whole experience felt like I was being strung along, with some misleading information about the role and department, likely to save face and speed up hiring. I guess everything happens for a reason, and I probably avoided a toxic work environment.

A recruitment company reached out to me about this role. I had an initial Skype interview, followed by an in-person meeting with the mill's management. The face-to-face part was challenging and new.
