Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DRW.
Accountant
So I had a phone interview first with the recruiter or HR person, they looked over my resume and asked about my experience. Then I went in person and met the CFO and the accounting manager. The CFO asked about my background and also tried to gauge my personality to see if I'd be a good fit. The accounting manager then went into more detail about the job duties and my past experience related to the role.
- What makes you a better candidate than others?
- Why are you the best person for this role compared to other applicants?
Accountant
I sent in my application online and then got a call saying I was invited to interview at their Chicago office. I interviewed there with the CFO over winter break. Two weeks later, I got a call asking for a skype interview because they had narrowed down one position to a few students. It was done via skype because I was back on campus. I did the skype interview and they let me know their decision a few days later.
- What do you know about the trading industry?
Financial Accountant
I interviewed for a Financial Accountant position. The interview was with the Manager and it was your typical competency based interview, discussing your experience, scenarios. There were 3 stages all very similar. You met with different people in the team and outside of the team. The interview process took about 2 weeks in total.
- What's the hardest part of your job?
- What are your thoughts on working in the office?
