First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DRUM Agency.
Associate
First, I had a super quick phone screening. Then, I went into the office for an in-person interview where the questions were pretty easy and everyone was really nice. The week after, I had another interview over Google Hangout.
- Could you walk me through your resume?
- Can you share an example of a situation where you had to...?
- In your own words, what does 'hustle' signify?
Paid Social Media Planner
The HR person, Danielle, was super nice. My interview felt kind of meh, and I was later told that after a few more interviews that week, they'd get back to me. The pay for this job was kinda low, like 55-65k, which is below what's normal for the industry. The office space looks like a typical corporation, not really like an agency, with managers in offices by the windows and most people in cubicles inside.
- Can you give an example of a past project you worked on?
Creative Director
The interview started with a recruiter screening call. This was followed by a phone chat with the Creative Director. Next, I had a face-to-face meeting with both the Creative Director and the VP GCD. They extended an offer about a week after our last conversation. It was a really chill and laid-back process, a super nice experience overall.
- Reflecting on past projects, is there anything you would alter?
Media Planner
I sent in my application online and then got a call back within a few days. After that, I went into the office for a two-part interview. The first part was with two people I would work with closely, and the second was with upper management to make sure I was a good fit. It felt more like a personality test to see if I'd fit into the team and work environment, as I think they already knew I was qualified from my resume. I ended up getting the job offer later that same day.
- On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being very creative and 10 being very analytical, how would you rate yourself?
