So the interviewer was like 15-20 mins late for our scheduled call, and I wasn't told anything beforehand. After waiting 10-15 mins, I tried calling her, went to voicemail, then I called the company to check what was up. Then she emailed me saying her last interview ran over and she needed more time. I was okay with waiting a bit more. When she finally called, she apologized and gave me two different reasons for being late - first it was the previous interview running over, then she said it was because of a death at the company... honestly, why lie? Anyway, during the interview, she sounded friendly, but what she said wasn't. Right away she mentioned my experience didn't quite match what they're looking for and that I don't have enough experience for the role. I was confused why they'd even set up an interview if that was the case. I asked if I'd still be considered given her feedback, and she said she wanted to get to know me better, which felt like a waste of my time since her vibe suggested a clear no. Then, we talked about sales metrics. I mentioned I made about 100-150 calls a day at my last job. She focused on the 'at least 150 calls' part, and even though I clarified it varied daily and I usually hit 150, she kept bringing up the 100. It was also pretty rude when she tried to push me towards another job at their company, especially since it was a lower-level, low-paying position. I mean, I applied for an SDR role because I have the experience and it pays well! Trying to steer me to a job I couldn't even live on felt insulting. Given her attitude, I emailed her about half an hour after the interview to say the company wasn't a good fit and I didn't want to move forward.

HR reached out after I applied. Had a quick chat, then got passed to the CTO. Next, I met with their Architect, 2 devs, and an SVP who is their current PM. After that, a salary discussion with the recruiter where they mentioned paying below market. Got an email saying they picked someone else, but the job is still up. Feels dishonest and they pay way under market. Most talks were about SDLC and related stuff, and when I tried to talk about my experience related to the JD, they told me not to worry about it. I'd avoid them; they seem unsure what they need, and their current PM's approach seems bad based on talking to the dev team.
