The interview process was professional and well-organized. Although I didn't get past the hiring manager stage, the recruiter was great, and they were very open about salary, benefits, and the overall hiring timeline.

It was a really fast process. Started with a half-day onsite where I showed my portfolio and did a whiteboard design challenge. The two designers were super helpful, like a real team. A week later, I had the final stage, which was like a longer version of the first. Back onsite, I presented my portfolio to about 6-7 people, then had 1-1s where they asked about my work history and future goals. The very last part was another whiteboard challenge, this time focused more on interaction. I really enjoyed meeting everyone; they were all so nice and seemed genuinely interested. My only suggestion is to move the design challenge earlier in the day because after 5 hours of talking, I was too tired to think clearly for the exercise.

I had a chat with the recruiter. They gave me a lot of info about the role and the interview steps, but when it came to questions about me and my background, they were really unfriendly and didn't seem interested. It felt like they were just reading from a script and didn't actually care how my experience might fit the job. Their attitude and the fact they didn't ask relevant questions was quite surprising. Also, who sends a rejection at 8 AM on a Monday?
